(re)collection was an experimental community archive of oral and visual histories. It sought to ask questions like: Is memory alive? How do we practice it? Who does it belong to? Provided with an assortment of recordings, videos, books, newspapers, magazines, photographs, postcards, and other memorabilia, (re)collection invited each participant to reflect upon others’ memories in relation to their own. The project itself was intended to be shapeless, but this page preserves a few artifacts from it.
